I. Disclaimer

Weckett provides domain pricing estimates derived from machine learning models trained on compiled aftermarket sale records. These estimates reflect statistical analysis of historical transactions. They are not appraisals, guarantees of value, or financial advice.

PLAIN ENGLISH: We built a model on real sales. We show our work. We publish our limitations. We tell you the R² and the confidence bands. That's more than anyone else in this industry does. But a model is a model — not a crystal ball. If you make a financial decision based solely on any single pricing tool, including ours, that's on you.

What Weckett Is

  • A research publication providing market-derived pricing intelligence
  • A dataset of compiled aftermarket domain sale records with source attribution
  • A transparent methodology with published training data, features, and performance metrics
  • An independent voice in an industry where pricing is often provided by parties with a commercial interest in the outcome

What Weckett Is Not

  • A licensed appraisal service
  • A broker, dealer, or marketplace
  • A provider of financial, investment, tax, or legal advice
  • Affiliated with or endorsed by any registrar, registry, or ICANN

Domain values are influenced by factors no model can fully capture — including private negotiations, market timing, buyer intent, brand strategy, legal considerations, and pure luck. Our model explains a portion of price variance, and we state how much. No pricing model is perfectly accurate, and a claim of perfect accuracy is not supportable.

THE GAP IS REAL. We document the difference between what automated appraisal tools report and what domains actually sell for. That gap is measurable, not a matter of opinion. Published comparisons trace to recorded market-sale sources. Challenge the data if you want. We publish it.

II. Terms of Use

weckett.com and the Weckett service are operated by Weckett, LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company and a wholly-owned subsidiary of url.ventures, LLC ("Weckett," "we," "us," "our"). By accessing weckett.com or any Weckett publication, or by creating an account or purchasing credits, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, close the tab.

Permitted Use

  • Personal research and reference
  • Citing Weckett data with proper attribution ("Source: Weckett.com")
  • Sharing links to Weckett content
  • Using Weckett estimates as one input among many in your own analysis

Prohibited Use

  • Scraping, crawling, or bulk downloading Weckett data for commercial use without a license
  • Republishing Weckett datasets, in whole or in part, without written authorization
  • Presenting Weckett data as your own proprietary research
  • Using Weckett data to train competing models without a commercial agreement
  • Attempting to reverse-engineer the Weckett Pricing Standard (WPS) methodology beyond what is publicly disclosed
  • Any use intended to manipulate domain markets or deceive buyers or sellers
DATA THEFT NOTICE: The Weckett dataset contains embedded forensic markers. Unauthorized reproduction of our data is detectable, traceable, and will be prosecuted. We built this dataset over years from primary sources. If you want to use it commercially, contact us for a license. If you steal it, we will find out, and we will act.

User Conduct

You will not use Weckett to harass, defame, or threaten any individual or entity. You will not submit false data, fraudulent sales records, or misleading information to Weckett or its contributors. You will not impersonate Weckett or its team in any communication.

Accounts, Credits & Purchases

Some features require an account and credits. Credit purchasing is not always open; when it is closed, no purchases are accepted, and the purchase terms below apply only when purchasing is open.

  • Account. You access paid features through an email-based account. You're responsible for keeping access to your email secure and for activity under your account.
  • Credits. Credits are sold in packs. When purchasing is open, the offer is 50 credits for $1.49 USD — a one-time purchase, not a subscription, nothing recurring. Prices are shown before you pay and charged in U.S. dollars; applicable taxes, if any, are added at checkout.
  • Payment. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card details.
  • What credits do. Credits unlock WPS automated domain-pricing estimates within the service. They are for use in the service, are non-transferable, have no cash value, and do not expire unless a shorter period is stated at purchase.
  • No gaming the meter. You won't bypass, manipulate, or attempt to defeat credit metering, purchase controls, or security.

Refund terms are in Section VII, and the summary shown to you at checkout governs each purchase.

Modifications

We may update these terms. For general browsing, changes take effect when posted. For paid features, your acceptance is recorded per version at the time of purchase, and a material change to the purchase terms requires your explicit acceptance of the new version before it applies to you. We won't bury changes in footnotes — if something material changes, we'll say so.

Governing law

These terms, and any dispute arising from the Weckett service, are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.

III. Privacy Policy

We respect your privacy because we understand what it means to have your data used against you. That's literally what this publication is about.

What We Collect

  • Analytics data: Page views, session duration, referral source, device type, and general geographic region via Google Analytics 4. This is standard, anonymized, and used to understand how people use the site.
  • Email (if you subscribe): Your email address, used only for Weckett communications. Never sold. Never shared.
  • Domain submissions: If you submit a domain for coverage or pricing, we may retain the domain name and your contact information to process the request.
  • Account data: If you create an account to use paid features, the email address you sign in with, plus your account records — credits, purchases, and your activity within the service.
  • Payment data: Records of your transactions. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not receive or store your full card number. Stripe handles your card details under its own privacy policy.

What We Don't Collect

  • We don't collect passwords, financial information, or identity documents
  • We don't use tracking pixels from third-party ad networks
  • We don't sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone
  • We don't build behavioral profiles for advertising purposes

Cookies

We use essential cookies for site functionality and Google Analytics cookies for traffic measurement. No third-party advertising cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings.

Third Parties

We share data only with the providers that help us run the service, each under its own terms: Google Analytics (anonymized usage measurement), FormSubmit (subscription and inquiry form handling), Stripe (payment processing), Cloudflare (hosting, storage, and delivery), and Resend (sign-in and transactional email). We don't share your data with anyone else unless legally required (subpoena, court order, etc.), and we don't sell it.

OUR POSITION: The domain industry profits from information asymmetry — keeping you in the dark about what your assets are worth. We're not going to do the same thing with your personal data. What we collect, we tell you. What we don't need, we don't touch.

IV. Data Usage & Proprietary Rights

The Weckett dataset — including compiled sale records, keyword-derived valuations, model outputs, confidence bands, and all associated metadata — is proprietary. It was compiled from primary sources over multiple years through original research, data engineering, and statistical modeling.

Ownership

All data, models, algorithms, visual designs, editorial content, and the Weckett Pricing Standard (WPS) methodology are the intellectual property of Weckett and its affiliates. "Weckett" is a trademark.

Licensing

Commercial use of Weckett data requires a written license agreement. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Embedding Weckett data in commercial products or services
  • Using Weckett data to train machine learning models
  • Redistributing Weckett data through APIs, feeds, or downloads
  • Incorporating Weckett pricing into brokerage or marketplace platforms

For licensing inquiries, contact the contact form.

Attribution

Non-commercial citation of Weckett data is permitted with attribution: "Source: Weckett.com" or "Data: Weckett Pricing Intelligence." No attribution removes the obligation to respect our proprietary rights.

FORENSIC WATERMARKING: The Weckett dataset contains embedded statistical fingerprints and synthetic canary records that are unique to our distribution. Any unauthorized copy of our data carries these markers. If our data appears in your product, platform, or publication without a license, we will identify it, and we will pursue all available legal remedies. This is not a bluff. We built the tracking into the foundation.

V. DMCA & Intellectual Property

Weckett respects intellectual property rights and expects the same in return.

If You Believe We Infringe Your Rights

If you believe any content on weckett.com infringes your copyright, send a DMCA notice to the contact form with:

  • Identification of the copyrighted work
  • Identification of the allegedly infringing material and its location on our site
  • Your contact information
  • A statement of good faith belief that the use is unauthorized
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate
  • Your physical or electronic signature

We will investigate and respond within 10 business days.

If Someone Infringes Our Rights

We monitor for unauthorized use of Weckett data, branding, and content. Our enforcement approach is proportional:

  • First contact: A professional request to cease and attribute properly
  • Second contact: A formal demand with documentation of infringement
  • Third step: Legal action including DMCA takedown, injunctive relief, and damages
WE PREFER PARTNERSHIPS OVER LAWSUITS. If you want to use our data, talk to us. We're builders, not litigators by choice. But if you take what we built and pass it off as yours, understand that this dataset is timestamped, hashed, forensically watermarked, and backed up across multiple jurisdictions. We will find it. We will prove it. And we will act. Come correct or don't come at all.

VI. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Weckett, its affiliates, officers, directors, members, managers, employees, contributors, agents, licensors, and partners (collectively, the "Indemnified Parties") from and against any and all claims, demands, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses — including reasonable attorneys' fees and court costs — arising out of or relating to:

  • your access to or use of the Site, the Weckett dataset, the Weckett Pricing Standard (WPS), any report, appraisal, index, or publication;
  • your violation of these Terms of Use or any applicable law, rule, or regulation;
  • your violation of any third-party right, including any intellectual-property right, trademark, right of publicity, confidentiality right, or privacy right;
  • any dispute, claim, or legal action between you and any third party — including a registrar, marketplace, broker, prior owner, trademark holder, or UDRP complainant — relating to a domain name, digital asset, or content referenced on or obtained through the Site;
  • any content, information, domain submission, or data you submit, post, transmit, or otherwise make available through the Site;
  • any reliance by you or a third party on any pricing estimate, confidence band, appraisal, WPS score, index value, derivative comp, or forward-looking statement published on the Site;
  • any decision to purchase, sell, hold, transfer, register, renew, abandon, or litigate a domain name made in whole or in part in reliance on Site content.
PLAIN ENGLISH: If your use of this Site, or a decision you made based on this Site, results in someone coming after us — a trademark holder, a buyer who feels overpaid, a seller who feels shorted, a UDRP complainant, a registrar — you're responsible for our defense costs and any resulting damages. We publish pricing intelligence. We do not accept liability for the transactions those prices may inform.

We reserve the right, at our own expense, to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter otherwise subject to indemnification by you, in which case you will cooperate with our defense at your expense. You will not settle any such claim without our prior written consent.

Trademark and domain-dispute indemnity

Domain names may be subject to trademark claims under the Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy (UDRP), the Anticybersquatting Consumer Protection Act (ACPA), or comparable laws in other jurisdictions. Weckett does not evaluate whether any specific domain name infringes a third-party right, and nothing on the Site should be construed as such legal evaluation. You are solely responsible for ensuring that any domain you register, acquire, use, or monetize does not infringe the rights of others. You will indemnify the Indemnified Parties against any UDRP, URS, ACPA, trademark, or similar proceeding arising from your use of Site content or reliance on Site pricing.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Indemnified Parties shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages — including lost profits, lost data, lost opportunity, or cost of substitute services — arising from your use of the Site, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. The aggregate liability of the Indemnified Parties for any claim arising from or relating to the Site shall not exceed the greater of (a) one hundred U.S. dollars ($100) or (b) the amount you paid to Weckett in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

No guarantee of outcome

Domain markets are subject to private negotiation, market timing, buyer intent, brand strategy, legal considerations, and other factors no model or index can fully capture. Weckett pricing estimates reflect statistical analysis of historical transactions and are not a guarantee of any future sale price or outcome.

VII. Corrections, Credits & Refunds

Credits are sold by Weckett, LLC.

Billing errors

Duplicate charges and charges made in error are corrected in full, with no time limit. If something looks wrong on your statement, tell us and we'll fix it.

Result-quality issues

WPS results are automated pricing estimates with stated ranges, confidence and limitations — not commissioned appraisals. If you believe a completed, in-coverage WPS price is wrong, open a correction: we review each one and, where warranted, issue a correction or replacement credits. A correction request is a review, not a guaranteed change. Challenge an estimate at methodology.html#challenge.

Discretionary refunds

Monetary refunds of purchased credits are considered case by case and are governed by a defined rule for credits you have already consumed. That rule is being finalized; until it is posted here, we make no blanket refund promise. The checkout summary shown to you at purchase governs each transaction.

PLAIN ENGLISH: One-time $1.49 purchase, nothing recurring. Charged twice or in error? That's ours to fix in full, no clock. Think a price is wrong? Open a correction and we'll review it — a fix or replacement credits where it's warranted. Refunds of credits you've already used follow a defined rule we're finalizing; no blanket promise until it's posted.

VIII. Delivery

Credits are digital. On confirmation of payment, credits are added to your account. There is no physical product to ship.

If credits don't appear after a successful payment, contact the contact form and we'll make it right.

A NOTE ON HOW WE OPERATE: We built Weckett because the domain pricing market needed an honest, independent voice. We're not here to replace registrars or marketplaces. We're here to make sure their customers have real information — not output from tools whose incentives may not align with theirs. If that makes incumbents uncomfortable, good. Transparency should be the default, not the exception.

We welcome collaboration, constructive criticism, and good-faith inquiry from anyone — registrars included. The door is open. But if you come through that door with threats, intimidation, or legal theater designed to suppress public market data, understand that we documented everything, we hashed everything, and we are prepared to stand behind everything we publish. We would rather build than fight. But we will not back down.

Come correct and we'll meet you with respect. That's the only deal on the table.
